This lovely, small and friendly hotel has an enviable ski-in location in the heart of Morzine, with fantastic views overlooking the Pleney slopes and is just 200m from the Pleney lift itself.
The hotel was built in 1954 and run by the Baud family until 2012, when they handed over the reins to Olly and Emma Lambourne for safe keeping. Olly and Emma have been running Mountain Mavericks catered ski chalets in Morzine for the past 7 years and their aim is to always ensure a warm and personal welcome to all of their guests and a holiday to remember that can be repeated year after year.
The hotel has rooms to cater for every need and budget, including 17 en suite bedrooms and 3 budget rooms for those trying to keep costs down. You can choose from ‘slope-side’ rooms with terrace or private balcony or a room with views of the lovely village of Morzine. The hotel also boasts a brilliant bar and restaurant.
All rooms are en-suite with a bath or shower and have goose down duvets and Egyptian cotton sheets. WiFi access is available throughout the public areas of the hotel so you'll easily be able to keep in touch with the world outside of Morzine.
After a day on the mountain, you can relax on the sunny terrace and take in the stunning views over a little aperitif. There is a great slope for sledging immediately beyond the terrace where you can keep an eye on the kids in comfort, and in the summer, you can enjoy a little round of mini golf out there!
The Bar
This cosy lounge is a lovely place to enjoy an apres ski drink relaxing on one of the comfy sofas facing the huge windows with views of the slopes. With a cosy sofa area, open fire and retro styling, it is the ideal place to take a break from skiing or biking. In the evening, sip a delicious cocktail whilst listening to one of the live bands and singers that regularly play in the bar.
The Restaurant
The restaurant in the hotel is open for all three meals, serving a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day, to fine dining for lunch and dinner with several local specialities featuring on the menu. They offer both B&B and half board rates and, being so close to the piste, you can easily choose full-board, heading back to the hotel each lunchtime.
