Morzine Snow Report: 27th January 2014

Patchy Clouds above Fresh Snow in Les Gets

featured in Snow report Author James Fisher, Morzine Video Reporter Updated

The forecast last night was for fresh snow and there was a dusting on the ground in Morzine this morning and fifteen centimetres in Avoriaz.

We headed over Les Gets for a cruise around as the clouds were heavy over Avoriaz but clearing over Morzine and Les Gets. We took a loop from the top of Pleney down Crocus onto Bruyeres, down to the Chavannes chairlift. Up the lift and down into Randfoily and onto Reine de Pres before heading back towards Pleney and Morzine.

The snow was great on all the pistes, only the lowest sections of the Pleney were a little hard. The clouds came and went and when the sun was out we enjoyed perfect skiing conditions, when they closed over the light was a little flat but in all it was a good day on the hill.
