Sunny, quiet pistes in Morzine
Great skiing ahead of the February holidays
After getting hammered by storms through January and the avalanche risk hitting 5/5 several times, conditions have settled and we've been blessed with calm weather and mild temperatures in the run-up to the upcoming busy period.
Most of the resort is open and the snow on the pistes is great. It can be a little hard in the morning but it soon softens up in the warm, pleasant temperatures we've been experiencing. The avalanche risk is 2/5, but there is no off-piste riding worth doing, it's either tracked out or the snow is too icy.
The forecast is for another significant snowfall at the end of the week, which should see a return to mid-winter conditions here in the Portes du Soleil.
