Cheeky Monkey's Childcare, Morzine

2. Childcare & Babysitting

Location
Morzine

Cheeky Monkey's was formed in 2005 by Sharon McCrae to provide a quality childcare service in Morzine to families on holiday throughout the French Alps.

After working in the childcare industry for twenty years in the UK, America, and France, Sharon noticed a lack of childcare services for families who want to ski. Her aim is to ensure the entire family can enjoy a stress-free skiing holiday. Having rapidly expanded to a team of ten plus nannies, Cheeky Monkey’s now offers the following services:

Lunch Club

One of the nannies will collect your children from their ski lessons and take them for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, they can return to the slopes for lessons or meet their parents. Alternatively, if you want to ski all afternoon, they can enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of activities out in the snow.

Private Nanny

Your nanny will come to your accommodation and care for your little one in the comfort and familiarity of your home-from-home, minimising disruption to their daily routine. They will bring a selection of toys to entertain your child and take them outside in the fresh air whenever possible. Services are available for a morning, afternoon, or full day.

Babysitting

If you’d like an evening to yourself, Cheeky Monkey’s can provide a nanny for evening babysitting, arranged either in resort or prior to your arrival.

Childcare Equipment Hire

If you need childcare equipment, Cheeky Monkey’s also offer everything from pushchairs to car seats and changing mats.

Due to the popularity of their service and high demand for childcare in Morzine, it is advisable to book in advance wherever possible.

ESF Childcare kids lessons

4. Kids' Snow Camp & Ski Lessons - Les Lindarets

Location
Avoriaz

ESF Montriond Les Lindarets are proud to welcome you to their new purpose-built Piou Piou building at the top of the Ardent lift on the Lindarets plateau. Children from the age of four years can learn the basic skills that will give them confidence on the snow in a fun and safe environment.

At the base of the 'Les Lindarets' sector in the heart of the 'Portes du Soleil' ski area, Montriond / Les Lindarets is a fantastic location for your children's ski lessons as you're just one chairlift away from Avoriaz, Châtel or Les Crozets, so you can easily access the Portes de Soleil ski area whilst your children enjoy the snow in the ESF's safe hands.

Club Piou Piou
The team offers a wide range of activities (stimulating games, crafts and discovery ...) either indoors or outdoors, weather permitting. Ski lessons are provided by the ski instructors of the ESF Montriond Lindarets in the Kindergarten and on the slopes if they're comfortable to do so.

Open Sunday to Friday, you can leave your children from 9:20am until 12.30. 178€ for six mornings or 44€ for a morning (in low season). After ski lessons there are playful activities inside and out, depending on the weather: games in the snow, walking in the snow, reading, drawing, crafts and watching videos.

The Piou Piou club is situated at the top of the Arden cable car.

Group Lessons
On the slopes of Les Lindarets is a "snow garden" featuring special equipment such as mini-obstacle courses, magic carpets and a rope tow. ESF instructors guide and instruct tiny tots in their first experiences on skis. Once they have learnt how to brake, stand up and master the snowplough, they leave the kindergarden for the real ski slopes.

Ski sessions last between 2 and 2 and a half hours but this does not mean that your child will necessarily be on his skis for the entire duration. ESF's professional instructors will alter the activites according to age, degree of tiredness or weather conditions. The snow garden also includes a warm chalet where the children can play, draw and watch videos.

All the ski instructors speak English and there are no more than 10 children per group, so the instructor can personal attention to each child.

Kindergarden classes begin on Sunday or Monday and finish on Friday; the week ends with a badge test, when your child will be awarded an ESF pin to show that they have successfully completed their course and passed the Ourson (teddy bear) level.

The school is situated at the top of the cable car of Ardent.
