1. La Fruitière des Perrières Restaurant

Location
Les Gets

La Fruitière des Perrières was created at the start of the 20th Century and has been producing and selling local cheeses ever since. In 1992 the old cellar was transformed into a restaurant, run by the same family who has owned the premises since the 1950s.

This lovely local family-run restaurant is a real hidden gem, serving only local produce and served with love. Dinner here will be an experience unlike no other, full of authentic alpine charm set within the cellars where the cheese would have once been left to mature.

Cheeses produced onsite include Abondance, Tomme des Gets, Raclette, Saveur des Gets, as well as yoghurts and cream cheeses. These form a key part of the restaurant menu, with local specialities including fondue, raclette and Berthoud (grandmother's oven-baked Abondance recipe), all homemade of course!

After all the cheese, finish with a light ice cream dessert or a speciality meringue.

The restaurant is open in summer and winter only in the evenings. Closed on Sundays.

On site you'll also find the shop selling their cheeses as well as other local regional produce and they have an on line shop. You can take guided tours around the fromagerie too on a Wednesday morning by reservation.

2. La R'Mize Restaurant

Location
Les Gets

Serving traditional Savoyard dishes, this is a popular lunch and dinner spot for locals and tourists alike.

La Remise serves excellent local food, with tartiflette, fondue and pierrade amongst the firm faovourites. Classic French dishes also compliment the menu, with succulent meats as well as delicious home-made desserts.

Inside it has a cosy traditional mountain feel, but with lovely modern furnishings.

Located slightly out of the main tourist centre of town, the restaurant has a local and less touristy feel, but is still a popular restaurant, so be sure to book!

Open every day except Wednesdays for lunch from 12:00 - 14:00 and dinner from 19:00-21:30.
