1. Restaurant la Pointe de Nyon & Les Aigles du Léman

Le Pointe de Nyon combines stunning mountain views with a unique nature park featuring impressive birds of prey, creating a memorable experience alongside its menu of traditional French and Savoyard dishes. The restaurant’s famous Savoyard burger layered with melting Reblochon and a rich red-wine onion compote, is an absolute must-try. Open daily and offering activities for all ages, it’s an ideal destination for a full mountain day out, whether you’re dining, exploring or simply soaking up the scenery.

Le Pointe de Nyon is much more than just a restaurant, it’s an experience. Located at 1500 metres with stunning mountain views, it sits within Les Aigles du Léman, a wild nature park home to magnificent birds of prey including eagles, condors and owls. Whether you’re skiing or visiting as a pedestrian, it’s a perfect spot to enjoy the scenery and some fantastic food.

The restaurant offers a wide-ranging menu of traditional French and Savoyard dishes including foie gras, onion soup, fondue, grilled meats, seafood and a selection of children’s meals. There’s an extensive wine list featuring French and international bottles, too. Two lunch sittings take place daily during winter at 12:00 and 14:00, with dining available both inside and on the terrace.

If you’re after a burger with a difference, the famous Savoyard burger here is not to be missed. This cheesy double burger is topped with Reblochon, red wine onion compote and other delicious local ingredients. It’s a taste sensation and well worth a visit even if you have to make a special trip.

Beyond the food, the nature park offers plenty to explore including falconry shows and courses, an indoor playground for children, a sledge track, a snowpark and a themed walking trail all centred around the incredible birds of prey. For those aged 10 and above, you can even ski alongside the eagles.

There is also a ski-in, ski-out snack bar selling fast food favourites like chips, sausages, waffles, crepes and ice cream, perfect for a quick refuel. The restaurant is accessible via the Nyon cable car and is open every day from 08:30 to 17:30.

2. La Cendrée Restaurant

Located at the Frond'Neige Hotel-Residence, in the heart of Morzine village, and a great place to stop off during a day on the slopes.

The restaurant is open in summer an winter. You can enjoy drinks or meals on the terrace with fantastic views over the pistes and the mountains, or in the cosy interior restaurant.

During the winter months, it's a great place to settle in if you have children in ski school as the ESF beginner and childrens nursery area is right in front of the restaurant. In the summer, it's equally convenient for families as you there is a large enclosed playground for children to play whilst you enjoy your food and drinks.

Open for lunch and dinner, with typical home-made cooking and specialities including Swiss fondue, as well as a great wine list.

Winter hours 08:00 - 19:00 and summer hours 08:30 - 20:00. Booking recommended.

3. Chez Nannon Restaurant

A popular family-run Savoyard restaurant on the Nyon plateau serving local specialities in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

This delightful old Savoyard farm is the perfect setting for a relaxed lunch. Enjoy the cosy interior or lovely sunny terrace. Open daily throughout the winter and summer season, it is a very popular place so booking is advised.

Specialities include their famous potatoes with Reblochon served with salad, smoked ham and sausages, as well as grilled meat, soup, mountain burger and home-made desserts.

4. Le Vaffieu Restaurant

This place is popular and gets very busy at lunch time, so you really do need to book ahead.

Serving traditional gourmet French cuisine in a great Savoyard chalet with a large covered terrace that is heated in the winter.

This restaurant makes a great stop for lunch and they have lots of sun chairs to take a break in. In the summer, you can enjoy a bbq on their terrace and live music.

Open from right before Christmas to mid-April in winter and early July to end of August in summer. In winter it’s easy to get to on skis via the Folliets lift, or snowshoe from Les Chavannes, Les Gets. In summer it’s a fairly easy hike of about 45 minutes from Les Gets mid-station. It’s even easier from Morzine if you get the bubble up from the Pleney - only about a 20 minute walk.

5. L'Passage Restaurant

A great spot to stop off for a drink on the sun-trap terrace or to enjoy a reasonably-priced lunch away from the crowds higher up the mountain.

At this small cosy chalet on the slopes the friendly team welcome you to Le Passage with excellent and efficient customer service.

Guests can settle into the sunny terrace for a drink and sunbathe, or head inside for a cosy lunch in the restaurant. It's a great spot, just below the Super Morzine gondola, so a little quieter than the main resort restaurants, and cheaper, too! It's location makes it a good place to stop on at the end of the day on your way down the mountain. There is regular apres-ski vibes and good music or DJ sessions from 15:00 onwards.

On the restaurant menu you'll find simple, good food. Soups, salads, burgers, pasta, as well as local specialities such as croute (delicious French cheese on toast of different varieties!). Finish off your meal with a delicious café gourmand (lots of little deserts and a coffee!). You'll also find excellent hot chocolate and vin chaud, which are firm favourites!

Open winter and summer seasons every day, excluding Wednesdays, from 09:00 - 17:30.

6. La Grenouille du Marais Restaurant

This little restaurant is a great place to stop off if you're skiing down the Super Morzine pistes. It's a traditional style restaurant and serves the usual mixture of fondues and tartiflettes.

Sit out on the sunny terrace to enjoy the views over Morzine from 1600m while enjoying croque monsieur, crepes, omelettes, home-made cakes, sandwiches and soups.
