Chalet fire in Morzine
Fire destroys chalet overnight
An alarm was raised last night at around 20:40 after a fire broke out in a chalet on the Route des Grands Alpes in Morzine.
34 fire fighters were called out to tackle the blaze from Morzine, Les Gets and Thonon fire stations.
The owners of the chalet was taken to hospital in Thonon to be checked over but are believed to be unharmed.
They had managed to escape the building before it fully caught fire and are staying with neighbours.
