In the heart of the traditional mountain village known locally as the 'goat village', enjoy your lunch on the sunny terrace or inside the cosy traditional style restaurant. In the summer you can watch the cheeky animals roaming the streets!

Settle into this rustic restaurant for lunch or dinner during the winter and summer season. The friendly staff will give you a warm welcome and you'll appreciate the prompt service.

On the menu you'll find traditional French and grill-style dishes, such as lamb ribs and T-Bone veal or beef stake with chips, as well as local Savoyard options including tartiflette, or savoyarde chicken escalope. There are also seafood options and reasonably-priced set lunch menus.

Wash down your meal with a choice from the sensibly-priced wine list, or some local Brasserie du Mont Blanc beers. Don't forget to sample one of their delicious home-made patisseries for desert.

Le Belvédère, perched at the top of the Mont Chéry télécabine, serves classic Savoyard dishes alongside its signature Belvéd’ burger, layered between crispy potato rösti and topped with a rich mushroom sauce. The spacious, south-facing terrace offers sweeping views across to Mont Blanc, making it an unforgettable place to soak up the scenery. Whether you’re unwinding after a morning on the slopes or settling in for a long, sunny lunch, it’s a true mountain gem.

Le Belvédère sits at the top of the Mont Chéry tele-cabine, making it a perfect spot to meet friends, take a break and soak up the sunshine on the south-facing terrace. Whether you’re skiing or just enjoying the mountain air, you can choose between a sit-down restaurant experience or a quicker self-service option.

The menu focuses mainly on traditional Savoyard dishes like tartiflette and fondue, alongside some modern French favourites. The specialty Belvéd’ burger is served between two crispy potato rostis with a rich mushroom sauce, offering a delicious twist on the classic.

Open every day during the winter and summer seasons, Le Belvédère is as much about the food as it is the incredible panoramic views of Mont Blanc from the terrace. It’s a great choice if you want a taste of the mountains with something a little different.

4. Wild Beets Kitchen Restaurant

Wild Beets Kitchen is a new concept focusing on healthy eating and serving breakfast, brunch and lunch, salads, wraps, nutritional smoothies and quality coffee, every day of the season. Visit them to get your fix of delicious and healthy dishes packed with the nutrition that will give you the energy to stay on top of your game.

Located in The Hive Gym and Fitness centre, on route d'Avoriaz, just outside of Morzine town centre. Enjoy the sunny terrace by the river. Eat in or takeaway and there is a dinner delivery service available.

Open Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 all year round, open Saturdays 10:00 to 15:00 in summer and winter season - opening days and times may vary according to the season.

5. Les Lhottys Restaurant

This mountain restaurant has a large outdoor terrace which is sheltered all around and, of course, you can dine inside by the fire, you just won't be able to appreciate the stunning views!

Open in summer and winter it's a great spot for mountain bikers and skiers alike. They serve regional specialities and snacks, including tartiflette, onion soup, steaks, burgers, sandwiches and salads.

Head here in the summer for a good view of the Morzine Mont Blanc rally.

6. Chez Nannon Restaurant

A popular family-run Savoyard restaurant on the Nyon plateau serving local specialities in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

This delightful old Savoyard farm is the perfect setting for a relaxed lunch. Enjoy the cosy interior or lovely sunny terrace. Open daily throughout the winter and summer season, it is a very popular place so booking is advised.

Specialities include their famous potatoes with Reblochon served with salad, smoked ham and sausages, as well as grilled meat, soup, mountain burger and home-made desserts.

7. Le Tyrolien Restaurant

With a varied menu, plenty of seating inside and a large sunny terrace, the Tyrolien is a great place to head for a pizza and an experience that’s a bit more than a fast food restaurant. The restaurant sits near the Super Morzine bubble and has some pretty impressive pizza ovens. It’s got a great outside space for fair weather days, and the selection of pizzas is big. You’ll find them open until quite late in the evening, so if you’re looking for a snack after a night out this is a great place to head. For those who don’t want to eat pizza, there are also lots of other options including salads and other Savoyard specialities.

Specialising in typical Savoyard cuisine such as cheese fondue and tartiflette, they also offer a selection of meat, fish and pasta dishes. Their wide range of pizzas come highly recommended.

This restaurant is known for good home cooked food at reasonable prices and only five minutes from Morzine. As well as a range of local dishes such as cheese fondue and tartiflette, they also serve typical French cuisine (snails in garlic butter, duck breast, steaks, etc) and a good selection of pizzas. Pizzas are available to eat in or takeaway, including "bambino" size for children. There is a good value set lunch menu and pasta, omelettes, salads, home-made desserts and ice cream.

The restaurant is open daily throughout the year for lunch and dinner.

This traditional French restaurant lies just on the outskirts of Morzine in the village of Essert Romand. 

La Petite Auberge offers great value for money set menus for lunch, the plat du jour and it's also really family friendly, with more choice on the menu for kids than you find in most similar style restaurants in the area. The menu features local specialities and modern french cuisine.

Bar and restaurant open every day in winter and summer. During the inter season they are closed on Sundays.

10. La Cendrée Restaurant

Located at the Frond'Neige Hotel-Residence, in the heart of Morzine village, and a great place to stop off during a day on the slopes.

The restaurant is open in summer an winter. You can enjoy drinks or meals on the terrace with fantastic views over the pistes and the mountains, or in the cosy interior restaurant.

During the winter months, it's a great place to settle in if you have children in ski school as the ESF beginner and childrens nursery area is right in front of the restaurant. In the summer, it's equally convenient for families as you there is a large enclosed playground for children to play whilst you enjoy your food and drinks.

Open for lunch and dinner, with typical home-made cooking and specialities including Swiss fondue, as well as a great wine list.

Winter hours 08:00 - 19:00 and summer hours 08:30 - 20:00. Booking recommended.

Enjoy a Savoyard meal made using local specialities and cheeses at this restaurant, situated on the Route de la Plagne. It is part of the Fruitiere L'Alpage, a working farm and dairy located in Morzine.

A beautiful traditional stone and wooden cosy interior with a roaring open fire and huge window panels make this restaurant a special place to have lunch or dinner. Enjoy the wonderful local specialities or the farm's own cheese selections, along with the traditional French cuisine.
