As much as we don't want to face up to the fact that the end of the season is just round the corner, I'm afraid we're going to have to! However, let's not be sad about it....

There might be less than a month to go of this winter season, but there is still plenty to do in Morzine.
After a huge couple of weeks for Christmas and New Year things are starting to settle down in Morzine.
After the excitement of Christmas it’s now the calm before the storm of New Year’s Eve. However, there’s still plenty going on in town this week leading up to the big night this weekend.
Well it appears that spring has come early this year! After the extremely cold weather we experienced just a few weeks ago it literally couldn’t feel more different now. The sun has come out and the temperature has soared both in the town and up in the mountains, which is great for those lazy afternoon après sessions…but possibly not so good for the powder!
It might have dumped over a foot of new snow overnight and we might be enjoying freshies as if it were January, but I have some harsh news for you. There’s just over a week of the ski season left in Morzine & Les Gets.
Yet another week has flown by. We’ve been blessed with more great snow and the town is looking gorgeous and white again. It’s been a fun week with a good busy atmosphere around town, without being too packed on the piste.
Rock The Pistes and Snowboxx are the two huge events going on up the mountain this week, but there is also a lot going on in Morzine and Les Gets as well.
Welcome to the first Après Ski Report of the 2011/12 season. We are Victoria and Tom and we’ll be here each week to tell you all about what’s been going on around town, what’s coming up, the best bars, cafes, clubs and many other activities that Morzine has to offer.
I may have been a loyal and useful après ski reporter thus far, but things have changed considerably in the last week. Well, since my last mammoth tried and tested après blog to be precise.
After a great Christmas in town and finally getting over the festive hangovers it was soon time for the New Year’s celebrations to start. There was much deliberation over where to spend the evening, but we finally decided to head to Dixie Bar with a few friends and our family who are staying in town. With the open fire in full force the bar soon filled up and the pints of Mutzig and “Hell” were flowing thick and fast.
It’s St Patrick’s Day this Friday and there’s lots going on during the week in the build up to the big night.
Hello again from freeeeezing Morzine! It seems a touch of Siberia has descended into the valley this week with temperatures dropping down to -14 in town and -25 up on the slopes! So, whilst it’s been great for the snow, the fingers and toes have definitely suffered and the apres this week has definitely been more for indoor venues than outdoor.
After another great week of warm sunshine in Morzine we have finally been blessed with some more snow; a very welcome sight for all. In addition to the snow, the town is also starting to calm down a bit as the half-term rush nears its end and the endless trails of ski schools snaking the pistes are growing shorter. So with the shorter queues and gorgeous sun drenched afternoons we definitely think this is a great time to come out here and ski.
The snow has arrived and January looks set to be an amazing month to visit Morzine and Les Gets. With incredible events planned for the whole family, there really will be something going on to make your trip to this amazing part of the world extra special.
Bonjour again from Morzine. It seems the 2 weeks of freezing cold weather has finally abated and we can now look forward to some sun and making the most of the recent dump of snow. Half term week is in full flow so the town is at its busiest so far this season and the piste pretty crowded but that only means one thing….good apres and a great atmosphere!
The snow is falling and it looks like March is going to be a bumper month in the Portes du Soleil.
The snow keeps coming in Morzine and there is still plenty to do off the slopes as well.
