Morzine Snow Report: 6th February 2014

A beautiful day on the hill, maybe the best yet

featured in Snow report Author James Fisher, Morzine Video Reporter Updated

We can cover all the bases today as we have reports coming in from Morzine & Les Gets courtesy of Sally at The Snow Institute Ski School and a short video from Avoriaz.

Amazing conditions today in Morzine and Les Gets after the heavy snowfall yesterday we woke up this morning to a glorious sunny day. The pistes are freshly groomed looking like smooth corduroy!

A great start to February with lots more snow forecast just in time for the busy period to start in the next couple of weeks.

Over in Avoriaz the snow on piste was stating to get chopped up by the end of the morning but there was knee deep fresh snow at in the off piste. In the sheltered areas the snow was fantastic. Up at the top of Mossettes the wind was very strong but the pistes were holding up well even on the exposed slopes.

There is now 230cm of snow on the highest slopes in Avoriaz and 160cm in Morzine and Les Gets and the snow is superb throughout the Portes du Soleil.
