French courses for children and teenagers throughout the summer holidays (day and residential)

The Alpine French School run summer camp courses for children between 5 and 17 years old in the beautiful mountain resort of Morzine.

The Alpine French School offer a variety of camps and courses for children over the summer. These include:

  • French Family Summer Camp
    Both children and parents are welcome on this family orientated camp where everyone is able to learn at their own level. Parents and children have separate lessons in the morning and then a range of optional afternoon activities on offer. 
  • Residential Camp
    Aimed at teenagers from 11 to 17 years of age, this residential camp includes morning French lessons, afternoon adventure activities and further evening activities. Lessons run from 09:00 to 12:30 Monday to Friday with a 30 minute break, and students are grouped according to age and level. Day activities include white water rafting, mountain biking, climbing and canyoning, whilst evening activities include ice-skating, discos, sports tournaments and films! At the weekend, a variety of excursions and activities are on offer too, such as visiting iconic towns like Annecy, or water sport lakes... The camp includes full-board accommodation in the Summer Camp Centre as well as an airport meet and greet service at Geneva Airport. 
  • Day Camp
    Day camps are a great way to work on your children's French for a day whilst on holiday. Available for children from 5 to 17 years of age, the day camps include morning lessons, lunch at a partner hotel (or picnic depending on the afternoon activity) followed by an afternoon activity. Classes are divided depending on age and level, and there are two activity groups aimed at the different age groups. 5 to 10 year olds have a discovery and creativity program designed specifically for them, such as swimming, tennis, horse riding, art etc. 11 to 17 year olds can take part in the adventure activity program which includes white-water rafting, climbing, mountain biking and adventure parks!
  • French GCSE & A Level Camp
    This camp is an intensive course targeted to students' exam objectives. Classes are taught by native French speakers who have worked in UK schools and are specialised in the different exam requirements. You can choose private or group tuition, where you will have targeted exam preparation as well as tips for students with upcoming exams. This course is available during all school holidays.

All teachers are carefully selected and fully qualified, experienced native speakers. Activity leaders are also fully qualified in child education and are experts in making activities fun!

Upcoming Events

Morzine hosts a wide range of events throughout the year. The biggest winter festival is the Rock des Pistes week in March, where live bands play up on the pistes, with many other concerts being held in resort during the evenings. Highlights in summer include Crankworx and the Pass'portes du Soleil (two large mountain biking events), and the Spartan obstacle course race.
