Le Pointe de Nyon is much more than just a restaurant, it’s an experience. Located at 1500 metres with stunning mountain views, it sits within Les Aigles du Léman, a wild nature park home to magnificent birds of prey including eagles, condors and owls. Whether you’re skiing or visiting as a pedestrian, it’s a perfect spot to enjoy the scenery and some fantastic food.
The restaurant offers a wide-ranging menu of traditional French and Savoyard dishes including foie gras, onion soup, fondue, grilled meats, seafood and a selection of children’s meals. There’s an extensive wine list featuring French and international bottles, too. Two lunch sittings take place daily during winter at 12:00 and 14:00, with dining available both inside and on the terrace.
If you’re after a burger with a difference, the famous Savoyard burger here is not to be missed. This cheesy double burger is topped with Reblochon, red wine onion compote and other delicious local ingredients. It’s a taste sensation and well worth a visit even if you have to make a special trip.
Beyond the food, the nature park offers plenty to explore including falconry shows and courses, an indoor playground for children, a sledge track, a snowpark and a themed walking trail all centred around the incredible birds of prey. For those aged 10 and above, you can even ski alongside the eagles.
There is also a ski-in, ski-out snack bar selling fast food favourites like chips, sausages, waffles, crepes and ice cream, perfect for a quick refuel. The restaurant is accessible via the Nyon cable car and is open every day from 08:30 to 17:30.
