Mountain Bike Video of the Pleney Downhill, Morzine & Les Gets

Riding the Pleney Downhill with beginner rider Karl Christ

featured in Video Guides Author James Fisher, Morzine Video Reporter Updated

There are three official, marked runs from the top of the Pleney.

A blue, red and black route await downhill mountain bikers with quick access to the summit once you have finished thanks to the Pleney cable car. The Black run is a popular favourite and although it is marked as a run for experts we sent Karl Christ, who has only been riding downhill for ten days, down it to find out if it is suitable for beginners.

"It's not too bad." said Karl at the bottom. "It's long, so you're knackered by the time you reach the bottom and you could definitely ride it a lot faster than I did but there is nothing on the course that is really technical. You can take it at your own pace."
