Freestyle Snowmobiling!!

Avoriaz opens her lifts completely this weekend and it promises to be an all singing all dancing start to the ski season proper. France's first ever freestyle snowmobile demonstration, the last stop of the Rock On tour and a ski festival all herald in the opening weekend.

It's been a week of mixed weather here in the Portes du Soleil with combinations of snow and rainfall. With the temperatures set to drop to well below freezing after the weekend hopefully we'll see more of the white stuff soon.

Upcoming Events

Morzine hosts a wide range of events throughout the year. The biggest winter festival is the Rock des Pistes week in March, where live bands play up on the pistes, with many other concerts being held in resort during the evenings. Highlights in summer include Crankworx and the Pass'portes du Soleil (two large mountain biking events), and the Spartan obstacle course race.
