Le Grillon Restaurant Review
Efficient Service, Excellent Food & Plenty of Choice on the Menu
Located right in the centre of resort near the Tourist Office, Le Grillon offers an extensive menu, a lovely outdoor terrace and friendly service in summer and winter alike.
Yohann and his team run a tight operation with very efficient service and excellent food. The menu really does offer something for everybody, with pasta and rice dishes, savoyarde specialities, pizzas, salads as well as meat and fish plates. There’s also a separate children’s menu, which certainly seemed to be keeping the young diners happy during my visit!
Although Le Grillon does not serve a plat du jour, there are some very reasonable lunchtime only options. I decided to focus my attention on the pasta menu and ordered the forestière with a creamy mushroom and bacon sauce (13.50€).
If the lovely fresh bread which I was immediately served was not enough to wet my appetite, the fresh parmesan left on my table in preparation for my meal certainly was! The main arrived very shortly afterwards along with an egg yolk to be stirred in whilst the pasta was hot.
The wild mushroom sauce was full of flavour, if perhaps a slightly rich choice for a lunchtime bite!
All in all I was very impressed by the excellent quality of the meal and the very generous portion size, making the price very reasonable.
