Les Chevrelles Restaurant Review

Les Gets has no shortage of good restaurants to pick from in both winter and summer; however, few are quite as special as Les Chevrelles. If you’re looking for something a little magical and you’re prepared to go on a bit of an adventure to find your food then this place should be at the top of your list of places to try.

La Chamade Restaurant Review

La Chamade in the centre of Morzine is a restaurant to head to on a special occasion. The food is rich and the restaurant itself contemporary and beautifully decorated. It’s not the cheapest restaurant in Morzine but it really is somewhere you have to try.

Cookie cafe review

Saturday started as many do; hungover yet eager to get up the mountain! We rushed out having not had any breakfast, and skied until our stomachs could be heard rumbling all over the Portes du Soleil.

l'Etale Restaurant Review

If you want a good meal with an equally good atmosphere, l'Etale is a fail-safe option. It's in the centre of Morzine, just down from the Pleney Telecabine and always has a queue of people waiting to be seated- which is always a good sign.

L'Etale Restaurant Review

Just 50m from the bottom of the Pleney lift in the centre of Morzine, this is a great place to stop in for lunch and is popular with lots of locals.

This renowned restaurant is in the ideal location in the centre of Morzine, close to both the Telepherique du Pleney and the Office du Tourisme where there is plenty of parking. It is a popular choice among both locals and holiday makers alike and I was glad to finally be able to give it a try.

Le Bout du Lac Restaurant Review

The Bout du Lac sits at the far end of Lake Montriond and its beautiful waterside terrace boasts incredible views of the lake itself but also of the beautiful surrounding countryside, mountains and alpine meadows.

Le Cowbell restaurant review

We fancied avoiding the half term crowds and decided to head to Les Gets and Mont Chery. We weren't disappointed. Even at lunchtime we found untouched, fresh powder and plenty of space on the slopes. This area of the Portes du Soleil should definitely be on your list of places to visit. Another benefit with skiing in Les Gets is that you're bound to be passing The Cowbell at some point... It’s a unique and quirky restaurant/ bar at the base of Mont Chery. We had to give it a go.

A restaurant called le choucas is covered in snow

Le Choucas restaurant review

Location
Les Gets

This restaurant is located in the centre of Les Gets on the main high street but not too far from the slopes. Several people were in ski gear, however reassuringly most of the diners were locals out for a spot of lunch.

La Grande Ourse Restaurant Review

Location
Les Gets

To make the most of the glorious afternoon sunshine and to avoid the half-term crowds, we took our family up Mont Chery (in Les Gets) for some skiing and well deserved lunch. Having heard some very good things about La Grande Ourse, a family run two-part restaurant, situated at the top of the main two man chairlift, we tried our luck at the main upstairs restaurant.

Huski - Oven-ready meals & drinks delivered to your door

Location
Morzine

Many holidaymakers who come to visit the mountains opt for a self-catered option due to lower costs and greater flexibility it offers compared to traditional catered chalet holidays. However, it can then be a time-consuming effort having to fit in shopping and cooking when all you want to do is ski and go for a few apres drinks! This was the inspiration for the two friends who formed Huski following their experiences on their annual ski holidays, wishing to bring the convenience of food deliveries to the Alps.

A Summer Watering Hole Guide to Morzine

Cyclists, hikers and runners all have something in common (and I’m not just talking about our love of sports kit, lycra and gadgets). Whether we’ve spent the day facing some of the worlds toughest climbs on two wheels or whether we’ve braved them by foot, one thing’s for sure, we’ll all be in need of a good feed (and more than likely a stiff drink) at the end of it all.

The Bouche a Oreille Restaurant Review

You may remember a month or so ago we told you about big plans for the old Amandier restaurant in Saint Jean d’Aulps. Well, “The Bouche a Oreille” as it’s now called, has finally opened it’s doors and is already proving to be a very popular venue with people who live in the Portes du Soleil and also those visiting it on holiday.

La Grange Restaurant Review

Location
Morzine

La Grange Restaurant is hidden down a little back road but less than 100m from tourist office in the centre of Morzine and only 100m from the bottom of the Pleney, making it a great alternative to eating up the mountain.
