The Bout du Lac sits at the far end of Lake Montriond and its beautiful waterside terrace boasts incredible views of the lake itself but also of the beautiful surrounding countryside, mountains and alpine meadows.

The terrace of La Grange restaurant offers a very quiet lunch spot, with a feeling of being a long way from the hustle and bustle of busy central Morzine, although it is actually situated a stone's throw from the square.

Hidden away in a little café in the corner of Les Gets is a special treat that shouldn’t be missed. Alba is a delicious restaurant open for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner and brings something very different to this corner of the world.

You certainly won’t be hungry after a Savoyard feast at La Grange. The popular restaurant in the centre of Morzine is the perfect place to head to for a delicious meal with all the favourites from the local region.

Les Gets has no shortage of good restaurants to pick from in both winter and summer; however, few are quite as special as Les Chevrelles. If you’re looking for something a little magical and you’re prepared to go on a bit of an adventure to find your food then this place should be at the top of your list of places to try.

The Tyrolia sits nestled back from the main road in Morzine and its unassuming appearance means it often gets overlooked. However, looks can be deceiving! It's a hidden gem in Morzine that serves delicious food throughout the year, including during the inter-season. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy a traditional long lunch but expect to be rather full once you have!

Beanie's is rapidly becoming a local favourite for coffee and snacks. It's also building a name for itself as a hub for ski touring, thanks to its links with All Mountain Rental. The modern coffee shop has the latest kit on display in a very spacious and well designed 'hang-out' area, where the shop staff are happy to answer questions or just have a friendly chat.

La Grange Restaurant is hidden down a little back road but less than 100m from tourist office in the centre of Morzine and only 100m from the bottom of the Pleney, making it a great alternative to eating up the mountain.

Saturday started as many do; hungover yet eager to get up the mountain! We rushed out having not had any breakfast, and skied until our stomachs could be heard rumbling all over the Portes du Soleil.

After much anticipation, Rude Chalets have opened their revolutionary alpine youth hostel style accommodation in Morzine - the aptly named Rude Lodge.

From the minute I walked into Art Tea Chow in the heart of Morzine, I felt at home. Pots full of different teas line the shelves around the small café on the Route De La Telepherique, and there’s always a fresh homemade cake sitting on the counter. The smell of spices from the tea leaves is very tempting, especially if, like me, you’re missing a good old cup of English tea.

Just 50m from the bottom of the Pleney lift in the centre of Morzine, this is a great place to stop in for lunch and is popular with lots of locals.

Rhodos is a no frills attached, lively, friendly place with a wide variety of choice on its popular and reasonably priced menu. It’s open throughout the year, making it a good place to go when everything shuts down for inter-season.
