What's on where this week in Morzine & Les Gets
There might be less than a month to go of this winter season, but there is still plenty to do in Morzine.
Take a look at our pick of the best places to go this week for live music, parties, food and drink.
Monday 3rd April
On Monday there is live Apres music at La Kinkerne at the bottom of Prodains between 16:00 and 20:00. There is also live music and the chance to get up on stage at Open Mic Night at Rhodos between 17:00 and 19:00, with a free shot or soft drink for all performers. If you're in Les Gets try the Savoyarde nights at La Pivotte restaurant for something a little more regional.
The current snow conditions mean that it’s a good idea to keep your skis and snowboards well waxed, so take advantage of Wax On Mondays at Le Cottage, where you can get a free servicing for your kit if you spend more than ten euros. From midnight there is also a Psytrance/Tribe Hardtek night at Paradis with free entry before 01:00. At L’Opera there is a “So Deep!” night until 05:00.
Tuesday 4th April
Tuesday is Tequila time at La Kinkerne with two for one tequila offers and Mexican food specials. At Le Cottage there is live music on the terrace from The Slopes between 15:00 and 20:00 with special deals on food and drinks.
If you're in Les Gets head to La Biskatcha restaurant for an oyster tasting evening from 17:00 to 19:00. From 22:00 it’s the weekly Beer Pong tournament at Cafe Chaud followed by a Retro Rentals night at Paradis from midnight, free entry before 01:00. L’Opera are also open till late with a “Made In The UK” night.
Wednesday 5th April
La Kinkerne have two for one burgers throughout the day and Release Bezaken playing live from 16:00 while Happy Hours have a burger and drink deal for ten euros between two and three PM before the weekly “We Are The Apres” party between 15:00 and 19:00, with local DJs and a free shuttle service until 19:00.
At Inferno on Nyon there is also the weekly Mountain Meal party from 14:00. There is the weekly house night at Cafe Chaud from 22:00 and for anyone still going after that there is a choice of Gin and Juice at Paradis - the weekly nineties R&B, Garage and Hip Hop night and a seasonaire night at Opera, both going on until 05:00.
Thursday 6th April
There is a charity Apres party at La Kinkerne between 16:00 and 20:00 for Outward Bound, with love music, barbecue, cabaret and cake stalls.
In Town Le Cottage have live music from the Squid Lips from 15:00 and it is Thirsty Thursday at Paradis from midnight and L’Opera have their "Pink! Evening" from 00:30 with free shots for girls before 02:30.
Friday 7th April
On Friday there is live music at Beanies from 21:00 and “Caliente!” at L’Opera from 00:30 until 05:00.
La Kinkerne are hosting a Kinky Reggae Party with more live music from Release Bezaken, a BBQ, 2-4-1 on cocktails and free shots for the craziest fancy dress outfits.
Saturday 8th April
Saturday has two for one cocktails at La Kinkerne during Apres and a huge Apres Spring party at Tremplin from midday to 21:00, with special meal deals and music from Remedy Sounds, Radio Meux, Ronan Gravier and Squid Lips.
Ronan Gravier will also be DJing at his weekly house night at Paradis from midnight and L’Opera have Club VIP between 00:30 and 05:00.
Sunday 9th April
There will be the weekly Apres party at Happy Hours Bar in Ardent between 15:00 and 18:00, with more live music at Cavern later in the evening. Coyote and Cafe Chaud both have their weekly Drum and Bass nights from 22:00.
From midnight Paradis is open for Sunday Night Fever and L’Opera have their last “We Love 90s!” night of the season..
