Morzine Snow Report:7th March 2014

Perfect Pistes under Spring Sunshine

featured in Snow report Author James Fisher, Morzine Video Reporter Updated

There wasn't a cloud in the ski today in Morzine. The sun shone and the pistes were perfect.

Even though we're the last week of the busy season the pistes were really quite quiet today and the snow was perfect. Fast and grippy and on smooth well groomed runs. Arare was particularly good and the runs in the Fornet sector were also great.

The Halfpipe has been re-cut and is wider than usual but really, really, good. The parks in Avoriaz are getting plenty of attention as well. With the Cavern 24/7 Film Festival just around the corner everyone is out filming there best tricks.

The off-piste is now starting to suffer due to the sun and we'll need another snow fall before there is any powder to be had. In the meantime though the sun is shining and the forecast is for more of it. The pistes are great and as of tomorrow the slopes should start to quieten down again. It's going to be a good week in Morzine.
