The weekend brings massive dump to Morzine
The week gets off to a flying start in resort
After lastweeks storm which saw heavy snow all the way to the valley floor, Thursday and Friday brought sunnier conditions, with fresh powder to be found across the resort.
By Saturday evening it was snowing again, and it continued right through Sunday. There has been approximately another 40cm of snow over the past couple of days, and the base on the higher pistes is now close to two metres. Due to the high snowfall and the windy conditions earlier in the week the avalanche risk is currently at 4/5, and with poor visibility due to the clouds it’s not advisable to stray too far off piste at the moment. The sun is due to come out on Tuesday with some more snow forecast for Thursday.
