What's on in Morzine this week 27th March 2017

The week starts off with live music for Apres Ski at La Kinkerne at the bottom of the Prodains lift between 16:00 and 20:00. In town there is live music at Rhodos from 17:00 to 19:00 with the weekly Open Mic night, with free a free shot or soft drink for every performer.

In Les Gets, La Pivotte are hosting their regular Savoyarde evening from 19:00 and at Cafe Chaud in Morzine there is a Rage Against The Machine tribute band playing from 23:00. Paradis has a Psytrance/Drum and Bass night with free entry before 01:00.

It’s Tequila Tuesday at La Kinkerne with two for one tequila shots and Mexican specials. Coco And The Butterfields are playing live at Marmotte d’Or in Montriond with a free shuttle service from 20:00. From 22:00 Cafe Chaud have a beer pong tournament.

The big event of the night is the Eskimo Ball at L’Opera nightclub from midnight. The night features DJs and live acts playing Hip Hop, House, Techno and Drum and Bass. The DJs include The Mouse Outfit Soundsystem, Charlie Wright, Tom Hiseman and Ronan Gravier. Doors open at midnight and the event continues until 05:00. There will be confetti, snow cannons, lasers and light shows.

There is plenty going on this Wednesday. Things start off with The Stash Gathering, a Burton sponsored amateur snowboard competition open to all. Sign up is free and takes place between 21:00 and 22:00. Helmets are mandatory and there is a free barbecue for all entrants. 

At La Kinkerne there is a two for one deal on burgers and Happy Hours bar have a drink and burger deal for ten euros between 14:00 and 15:00. At 15:50 Happy Hours and Shredits are hosting The Naked Mile, a naked race from the Lindarets bowl to Happy Hours followed by the Tropi Loco party with a showcase from Deep Breath Records and Ministry Of Sound’s Disco Demolition playing.

From 19:00 to 23:30, Squid Lips will be playing at L’Aubergade with a special night playing through the history of New Orleans Jazz. This is a tickets only event. 

At Cafe Chaud there is a huge night planned with Krafty Kuts and Chali 2una from Jurassic 5 live. Tickets are ten euros and available at the bar. Anyone still going after all that can head to Paradis for Gin and Juice, the weekly nineties garage, R and B and Hip Hop night until 05:00.

On Thursday there is only one place to be - The Palais Des Sport host the last ever Cavern 24/7 Film Festival. Doors open at 20:00 and all the videos from the previous years will be played throughout the night as well as this year’s entries. Tickets are ten euros and available from Cavern and Satellite cafe. It is sure to sell out in advance so get your tickets early! All money goes to charity and every ticket includes a vote for your favourite film of the night. Can Team Shredits make it two in a row this year?

For something earlier in the day, Squid Lips will be playing an Apres Ski set from 15:30 at Le Cottage.

Tibetan Cafe host the second annual Gin Festival from 16:00 with forty five different gins to sample.

From 20:30 Cavern Bar hosts the Famous First Words, a music quiz based on the playlist of Tim & Gendle.

On Saturday there is a two for one deal on selected cocktails at La Kinkerne and Hunter & the Bear make their return to l'Aubergade from 20:00.

Later on Ronan Gravier hosts his weekly house night at Paradis from midnight with free entry before 01:00.

There is live music at Happy Hours from 15:00 and the weekly drum and bass nights at Coyote and Cafe Chaud. L’Aubergade have Sunday roast dinners from midday. Later on it's Sunday Night Fever at Paradis with a selection of disco and funk from midnight.
