What's on in Morzine this week
The build up to New Year's Eve has begun
After the excitement of Christmas it’s now the calm before the storm of New Year’s Eve. However, there’s still plenty going on in town this week leading up to the big night this weekend.
On Tuesday night Le Paradis Nightclub is hosting a George Michael tribute night. There will be a power hour featuring all his hits and 1 euro of every entry (5 euros) will go towards the British Heart Foundation. The pre-party will be taking place at Cafe Chaud with the weekly beer pong tournament, featuring four pints for eighteen euros.
On Wednesday Paradis hosts their weekly Gin ‘n’ Juice night playing ‘90s Hip Hop, R&B and Garage, from midnight till four a.m.and two for one Gin and Juice cocktails before 1 a.m.
On Thursday night the Bec Jaune will be hosting their weekly language exchange for people to come and have a go at learning different languages.
Big things have been going on at l'Aubegarde with French freestyle skiing legend Xavier Bertoni helping to build a mini park at the back of the hotel with an airbag equipped kicker and a selection of rails and boxes. The plan is to open this from around 7p.m. in the evenings. Considering there is something of a lack of snow at resort level they’ve done a great job to get this ready. (See the video below).
Happy Hours Bar in Ardent are doing a pre new years eve party with New Years Steve DJ'ng this Wednesday with a new years countdown every hour from 3pm.
