Outlook & What to Expect
Morzine's altitude means early season conditions can vary. However, this year is shaping up better than average at higher elevations but lower slopes will still need more snow before they become fully dependable.
Given current conditions you can expect:
Reliable early season skiing on higher lifts and prepared pistes
Patchier cover lower down that may rely more on snowmaking
Best results if you plan your day around the higher areas of the Portes du Soleil
With flexibility and good terrain choices, early December in Morzine can still offer enjoyable skiing and a great atmosphere in the resort.
What is Coming Up
The expected snowfall on Sunday should help refresh conditions and give the pistes a nicer feel underfoot.
Cold nights will continue to support snowmaking and help the existing base to settle.
As we move deeper into December the outlook becomes even more promising with more widespread snow expected across the Alps.
