Things to Do

Morzine Avoriaz Road Bike Climb
Try out your road biking skills to see if you can beat Bernard Hinault's record of 33 minutes set during the Tour de France in 1979, up the 14.6 kilometres and 860 metres of height gain of the Morzine-Avoriaz climb. The course comprises 19 turns and an average steepness of 6%, with a maximum of 10%.

One Day One Col
The One Day One Col is a great cycle initiative by the Savoie Mont Blanc tourism board which will see a mountain col closed to all motor traffic to make way for road bikers on specific dates throughout the summer. Here it's the col de Ramaz and col de Joux Plane.

A Day at the beach
Fancy a beach day in the mountains! Experience a unique twist on a traditional day at the beach with Morzine’s “beach in the mountains”. Morzine central will be transformed for fun filled beach days on 2nd and 3rd August.

Morzine Kids Kingdom
Kingdom of Children is a fun-filled week of events for the children, mainly held in the Tourist Office square and all for free. Something different is set up every day and it is very inclusive and fun for all ages - from free shows and workshops, juggling, painting, music, rhymes and traditional games and themed activities. All activities are aimed at children from 18 months to 12 years old.

Take to the skies
Paragliding, or parapenting as the French say, is a good way to escape the packed pavements and busy mountain trails and to head up, literally, into the sky with a tandem flight. There are lots of companies who offer the service and it's a good opportunity to take a bird's eye view of the town and surrounding valley from the peace and tranquility of the skies above it.
