About the summer lift system in Morzine
In summer the huge network of resorts linked together in the Portes du Soleil area are accessible by lifts, linking together the villages of Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Chatel, Lindarets, Champery, Champoussin, Torgons, Morgins and Les Crosets.
Pretty much all of the 23 chairlifts and cable cars in the area are equipped to carry bikes in the summer so you can roam the region at your leisure. The resort has a MTB specific lift pass for bikers, giving you access to all of the Portes du Soleil bike lifts.
Pedestrians and trail runners have access to the same network of lifts, and you can traverse the Portes du Soleil quite happily by using them. Just be mindful of the times of return lifts, as you wouldn't want to get stuck over in Switzerland with no easy way of getting back!
Lifts may stop running if there are high winds or bad weather, you can check this before you head out by looking at the live lift status.
Summer lift pass prices and lift pass options are slightly different, with some lifts open to pedestrians or mountain bikers only and others open to both - it is worth checking which lifts you can use before setting off. Paragliders also have access to a number of lifts throughout the summer.

Note:
Dogs - Must be kept on a lead at all times.
Babies - Allowed on all cable cars and gondolas but not on the chair lifts. It is not recommended to expose babies to sudden changes in altitude or temperature - if lift staff consider your child too young to travel on certain lifts they reserve the right to refuse you entry.
