A gentle walk with amazing views at 1,500m across the Nyon Plateau
Situated on Pointe de Nyon this walk offers fantastic views without a great deal of effort
It is possible to drive to the start of this short walk via the Joux Plane, otherwise you can access the start via the Telepherique de Nyon. The walk is a return so you can follow the same route back to the starting point. It is also possible to take in some spectacular 360ยฐ views from the top of Pointe de Nyon via the Telesiege de la Pointe. The Nyon Guerin lake is an artificial lake created to supply the snow cannons in the Morzine ski area.

Located near the Pleney lift and lโOpera nightclub, LโEtale is reputed to be one of Morzine's best restaurants, serving great food at a reasonable price. It's a versatile restaurant for families and groups, although in high season if youโre in a large group itโs definitely worth booking ahead as it does get very busy.
La Grange Restaurant is hidden down a little back road, less than 100 metres from the tourist office in the centre of Morzine, and only 100 metres from the bottom of the Pleney, making it a great alternative to eating up the mountain.

From the Nyon Plateau take the path that leads to the Pointe de Nyon through the alpine meadows, follow the sign for the Nyon-Guerin lake. At the sign for 'Le Creux de Lavouet:1480m' keep to the right on the path marked 'Col de Joux Plane'.
You will arrive quickly at the Nyon Derriere chalets (1,530m) and Nyon du Creux. The Nyon Guerin lake is situated just behind the chalets. Return by the same route.
