Escape to Hauts-Forts to see blueberries and Marmots on this easy walking route
This circuit can start from Morzine or Avoriaz. Using the cable car with the Multi Pass enjoy a downhill walk from Avoriaz to Morzine.
Starting in Avoriaz, follow the track which rises gently next to the cliff face and follow the round yellow ground markers leading to Combe du Machon (1,775m). Continue to La Choux (1,710m) and Plan du Vieux Chalet (1,710m). You might see, and you'll definitely hear, whistling Marmots! Another 20 minutes downhill and you'll arrive at the Morzinette Chalets.
Morzinette (1,600m) is a summer mountain pasture with traditional chalets and pretty views over the Ardoisieres valley. Return by retracing your footsteps and then follow signs to Pied de la Suette. This footpath goes quite steeply downhill through the forest, to Covagnes via the Plan des Rochers (forest path). At Covagnes catch the cable car back to Avoriaz.

During the winter you can take your lunches in the heart of the fabulous skiing area Les Portes Du Soleil because Le Fangle is a mountain restaurant located on the slopes heading down from Avoriaz to Morzine.

Located in the small village of Les Lindarets, specialities at this restaurant include fondue, charcuterie, snails, trout and various snacks.
Accessible in summer and winter from the Lindarets plateau, on foot or on skis. This is a popular spot for a sunny lunch on the terrace or a cosy drink inside.
Aquariaz is an aquatic paradise set in the heart of Avoriaz offering a huge water park made up of a gentle flowing indoor river, a slidewinder (an aquatic halfpipe), a toddlers paddling pool and water playhouse, a large pool with natural climbing walls.
This is an amazing activity where you can have fun on the river, suitable for good swimmers from 14 years and above.
Snowmobiling can be a fun, fast, snowy activity. Starting from Avoriaz resort, outings start from 17.30 to midnight, giving you free range of the snow and the Alps.

From Jean Vuarnet square in Avoriaz, walk up towards Hauts-Forts until you reach La Bec (1,770m), the starting point of the footpath called Morzinette via les Grandes Sutes indicated by a signpost on a rock.
