The Bungo Chalet
6 bedroom Apartment in Morzine. Sleeps 16
The Bungo is under development to become a stunning six-bedroom chalet with a private swimming pool. The Bungo will be open for selected weeks during winter 2024/25. It will be open continuously for winter and summer seasons from December 2025.
The Bungo is a very special chalet, set in one of the sunniest locations in Morzine. Perfect for both summer and winter holidays, this family-friendly chalet boasts its own heated outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, and barbecue area in the garden.
During the ski season, The Bungo operates as a catered chalet, where your group will be pampered by a team of friendly hosts and a private fine dining chef. Menus and dietary preferences can be discussed with the chef, ensuring a personal touch for every meal. You’ll also have access to their 24-hour on-call driver service to whisk you away to the ski lifts, bars, and attractions in both Morzine and neighbouring Les Gets.
The Bungo is spread over three levels, featuring six bedrooms that can comfortably accommodate up to 14 people. Additionally, a sofa bed in the home cinema room can sleep two more guests, and all beds can be split into twin beds (apart from the sofa bed), making this chalet incredibly flexible for different group configurations.
Upon entering The Bungo, you’ll find a hallway leading to a modern kitchen, open-plan dining area, and lounge. The dining table comfortably seats 14, with two extra chairs available. The lounge is cosy, with curved sofas around a feature fireplace and TV. Both living spaces open onto a decking area in the garden, with a sunken fire pit and surrounding seating. There’s also a large dining terrace, featuring two garden dining tables and 12 armchairs, next to an outdoor kitchen and barbecue area, plus a shaded outdoor bar with stools.
The garden soaks up the sunshine and features a sunken trampoline, climbing wall, swing set, and slide to keep kids entertained. Additionally, there are sun loungers, and the heated outdoor swimming pool (7m x 3m, 1.5m deep) is the perfect spot to relax. At the far end of the garden, a hot tub awaits, accessible via bi-fold doors leading to the lower level of the chalet.
The lower level is an entertainer's dream, with a bar, island with banquette seating and bar stools, bespoke wine racks, ice machine, and a beer pump. The adjoining home cinema room features a projector screen and can be closed off for privacy, creating the perfect space for movie nights. This level also houses two bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom.
The top floor features four bedrooms. Bedrooms 1 and 2 both have en-suite bathrooms, while Bedrooms 3 and 4 share a family bathroom. Bedrooms 1 and 3 offer the best views of Mont Chéry, making it a serene spot to wake up and enjoy your morning coffee while gazing at the mountains.
The chalet includes a private gym with a rowing machine, exercise bike, treadmill, and free weights. There is also a small kitchenette, private WC, and shower in the gym, providing convenience for those looking to maintain their workout routine during their stay.
The chalet is located a 15 to 20-minute flat walk from the centre of Morzine and the lifts. During winter, you can enjoy the convenience of the 24-hour on-call driver service to take you around Morzine and Les Gets. A bus stop at the end of the driveway offers a regular, free bus service into Morzine. Outside, there is parking for four cars, a garage, and a 7kw electric car charger. The garage also offers bike storage and a bike wash station, while the large boot room has heated boot warmers, dryers, shelves, and hanging space for all your ski gear.
Whether you're visiting for skiing or a summer retreat, The Bungo is the ideal choice for your stay in Morzine.
