The Old Macaroni Chalet
5 Bedroom Chalet in Morzine. Sleeps 18
The Old Macaroni in Morzine is full of imagination and charm, and the views over the village and mountains are astounding. It’s designed around families, with a Harry Potter-style bedroom and private cinema, while the hot tub and barrel sauna will tempt you after long days on the slopes.
The Old Macaroni offers a blend of luxurious design, creativity, and one of the best views in Morzine. Newly designed with inspiration drawn from the owner’s favourite novels, this chalet is a true masterpiece.
Each bedroom is uniquely designed to reflect elements from a specific book, bringing stories to life. The Harry Potter-themed children’s bedroom is a dream come true, with four built-in cabin beds, each featuring a double mattress. Every room boasts bespoke king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms, and a smart TV.
The entrance of the chalet showcases traditional farmhouse features, with a large boot room offering ample space for your outdoor gear. The ground floor is dedicated to open-plan living with a kitchen, dining, and entertaining area. This floor also includes a bedroom and a spa treatment room.
The custom-made kitchen is a true showpiece, complete with a professional teppanyaki plate and an open-plan layout perfect for entertaining. A second seating area offers a more relaxed space, ideal for morning coffee or intimate dining. A glass floor above provides a glimpse into the living room, allowing parents to keep an eye on children in their room upstairs.
The spa treatment room has everything needed for ultimate relaxation, including an internal shower and soothing mood lighting. The room can also double as an additional bedroom, with a hidden double bed that can be lowered for larger groups.
Upstairs, the lounge offers breathtaking views of Morzine village, with bi-folding doors opening up to a wraparound balcony. Enjoy the picturesque view of the valley, Pleney and Nyon pistes, as well as weekly fireworks and torchlight descents. The main living area is spacious and features a grand piano and a log burning stove, creating the perfect space for unwinding.
The first bedroom, inspired by The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemmingway, features a turquoise velvet bed and calming blue accents. The en-suite bathroom includes stunning glass fixtures, with integrated lighting that enhances the luxurious atmosphere.
The second bedroom, inspired by The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, is fit for royalty. A grand burgundy velvet bed, an elegant roll-top bath, and a private mezzanine complete the refined design. Double sinks and a double shower add to the bathroom’s opulence.
The third bedroom, inspired by All Men are Mortal, has a modern boutique hotel feel, with navy velvet and bright accents. The open shower and dressing room offer an airy and spacious feel. Sliding glass doors lead to a private balcony with sweeping views.
Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak is the inspiration behind the fourth bedroom, which exudes a soft, romantic atmosphere. A beautifully lit en-suite shower room and ample storage space complete this charming room.
The mezzanine level features the Harry Potter room – a magical space primarily designed for children. Four built-in cabin beds (each a full-size double with proper mattresses) offer plenty of space for both kids and adults. The open-plan layout allows adults to supervise children playing or reading.
For further entertainment, the lower level of the chalet houses a state-of-the-art cinema room. Tiered seating, art deco lighting, and bright velvet furniture create a modern twist on a traditional movie hall. The surround sound system and custom bean bags complete the cinematic experience.
